Meet Dr. Maggie Pond
Dr. Maggie Pond was born and raised in Decatur, Alabama. She attended the University of Alabama and completed her Bachelor of Science with a major in biology and a minor in Spanish. Following her undergraduate degree, she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry.
Throughout her time here in Birmingham, she has performed volunteer work with the First Light Women’s Shelter, Project Homeless Connect, The Arc of Jefferson County, Children’s of Alabama, Avondale Back to School Bash, and Miles for Smiles. She has also traveled overseas to Japan to spend time learning from two Japanese dental education programs and to the Dominican Republic to perform volunteer dental work. She has enjoyed treating patients of all ages in the communities of Locust Fork and Vestavia Hills and is excited to continue to get to know and serve the community of Calera.
Birmingham is where she met her husband, Charlie, and the two are now happy to call the city “home”. Dr. Pond enjoys spending time with family, traveling, attending Alabama football games, practicing yoga, and playing with her puppy, Fitz. She and her husband enjoy trying new and interesting restaurants on the Birmingham food scene and attending the variety of music events that Birmingham has to offer.
